SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT

December 6th, 2023

 

   

 SAGADAHOC, s.s.

 

To Deborah Locke, a resident of the Town of Woolwich in the County of Sagadahoc and the State of Maine.

 

GREETINGS:

 

     In the name of the State of Maine, you are required to notify and warn the voters of the Town of Woolwich in the said County, qualified by law to vote in town affairs, to meet at the Woolwich Town Office in said Town, on Wednesday December 6th, 2023 at six o’clock in the afternoon, then and there to act on Articles 1 through 4, all of said articles being set out to wit:

 

 

     Article 1.  To elect a moderator to preside at said meeting.

 

 

     Article 2.  To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectboard or its designee to enter into a purchase and sale agreement, and complete whatever other documents associated in the sale of a plot of land owned by the Town of Woolwich which serves little to no purpose, shown on the Town’s tax maps as Map U07 Lot 3-A. And to put the proceeds from the sale into the Town’s Undesignated Fund Balance

 

 

Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectboard to accept funds from the State of Maine CDBG program (if awarded) for an Economic Development Program Grant to provide OpBox, Ltd with working capital and equipment funds to support their new manufacturing, assembly, and retail facility.

 

 

ORDINANCES

 

Article 4. “To see if the Town will vote to amend the EMS Billing Ordinance to raise the transport mileage rate to $20 per mile. Currently the rate is $17.
