Local Food Resources for Woolwich Residents

The ongoing federal government shutdown may affect households that rely on SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits beginning November 1.  We wanted to make sure Woolwich residents are aware of other resources in our community.

Local Woolwich & Area Resources:

Bath Area Food Bank (807 Middle Street, Bath) serves Woolwich and offers a food pantry Tuesdays 12-2 & 4–6 PM and Thursdays 12–2 PM. Phone: 207-737-9289.

St. Philip’s Episcopal Church Help Yourself Shelf Pantry (12 Hodge St Wiscasset) is available to Woolwich residents, open Thursday from 5:00-6:00 Phone: 882-7184, Email: helpyourselfshelf@gmail.com

General Assistance Program is available through the Woolwich Town Office to help with urgent needs, including food, utilities, and heating. Visit 13 Nequasset Road during business hours, call 207-442-7094, or email administrator@woolwich.us for confidential support.

Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program (12 Tenney Way, Brunswick) offers groceries and prepared meals. https://www.mchpp.org
